Things I’ve learned in the MSA program
(that’s not necessarily related to Accounting)

1) The important part of achieving a goal is sacrificing things that you love to do but the important part of loving the things that you do is to truly appreciate doing it when you can.

2) It’s hard to complain to other people in the same boat. They will understand too well.

3) It’s hard to complain to other people NOT in the same boat. They will not understand at all.

4) The true understanding of human kindness is when you’re in a hotel in Paris at four in the morning and the person on the front desk is willing to let you use the computer so you don’t have to pay for internet while posting to a class discussion board.

5) It’s not the end of the world if you need to ask for help. There are some things that can’t be figured out by yourself.

6) Don’t assume you know what you’re doing. You’re likely to be wrong.

7) Laughter is the best way to deal with a tough class.

8) Grape juice and a laptop don’t mix well together.

9) Three insomniac nights working on a paper can really affect the appetite.

10) When you’re at your lowest point, the only thing you can do is pick yourself up and start over.

11) Sometimes the things you hated most at the beginning of the course, isn’t so bad once you get to the end.
