NaNoWriMo- 11 days away

I have given some thought to what I'm going to do for my novel and I'm down to three options:

1. Keep my first story idea
2. Come up with a completely new idea
3. Use an old story idea

With only a week away, I will probably do option three. This was something I came up with a long time ago (is ten years still a long time?). I've been hesitant to write it in the past for various reasons (hard to establish setting, cliche plot, etc) and when I tried to write it, I ended up failing.

It wasn't until a couple days ago when I realized that maybe this is the route to go. It's a plot I'm familiar with since it's been in my head for so many years, I have enough for 50,000 words, and the point is to get through these mental blocks that's holding me back.

No one is going to read it (except my "motivation") so there really isn't anyone, except me, to judge if it's hard or cliche or just plain bad.

And the internal judge is the harshest judge of all.

It's time to acquit.
